Everything here is done by hand, old-school style. Why? We believe the closer we are to each step of the winemaking process, the more we can preserve the integrity of our product. Through 24 miles of vineyard rows with a vine every three feet, all the work—the planting and pruning, training and trellising, hedging and harvesting—is done by hand and intuition.
Our approach is simple: craft the best possible wines in any given vintage year. To do so, we seek to listen and learn from the vineyard and adapt our style accordingly. With a lot of passion, a little luck, and an insatiable curiosity for what could be, we go against the mainstream philosophy of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Continuously pushing boundaries and weaving a quilt of both failure and triumph, we know what is good can become great, and what is great can become exceptional.
With our inaugural vintage in 2018, our young vines continue to give us opportunities to learn. Every vine and every block has its own personality and, as stewards of these vineyards and makers of their product, our job is straightforward: get to know these personalities better so we can work them to their greatest potential. We believe that in knowing a vine you are equipped to do more among the tanks and test tubes, barrels and beakers of the winery. We become better, vintage after vintage, through nonstop learning and constant evolution.
We remain steadfastly committed to patience in the pursuit of greatness. We invite you to enjoy our small-production, estate bottlings crafted to be elegant and balanced, unique and compelling, age-worthy and food-friendly.
