Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, just over an hour from Washington, D.C., Crimson Lane Vineyards was built to be both a destination and a home—a place to gather with friends and family around our table, sharing wine and swapping stories, just as you would around your own.

Here, the experience is elevated, but the attitude is relaxed. We’ve carefully designed our space to reflect our mountain surroundings and invite conversation among friends—those you bring along and others you’ll find when you arrive.

A Few Things of Note:

Reservations are REQUIRED.
Please make a reservation before visiting so we can ensure you receive the highest-quality experience! We’re a working vineyard and winery with limited staff and a lot to get done. Give us a chance to host you in style. We appreciate your reservation.

21+ Only
Featuring an abundance of wine, we are an adult establishment and ask that anyone under the age of 21 stay home. This includes infants – although we know it’s hard to leave them!

No More Than 6 Guests, Please.
We are unable to accommodate parties larger than 6 guests at one time in the main tasting room or on the porches. This includes combining tables—we do not accept multiple reservations for the same group. Multiple bookings for a singular party, or parties exceeding our seating limits are subject to be canceled at any time. For larger parties, we invite you to explore booking our private room, which can accommodate up to 10 guests, or contact us to arrange a customized reservation. Please note that parties of 6 or more guests will be subject to a 20% service fee.

No Pups Allowed
On the way and at Crimson Lane, you’re likely to glimpse deer, wild turkeys, songbirds, and our vineyard pup Disco (make sure to say hi when you are here). Enjoy their company but please, no pets of your own.

Heads Up!
As you enter through our property gates, you’ll find yourself driving along a long gravel road. Make sure to drive past the owner’s residence on your right and continue on ahead as you wind up to our tasting room!

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change and strive to be as accommodating as possible. To help us provide the best experience for all guests, we require a $10-20 deposit per person at the time of booking.

This deposit will be applied to your final bill or fully refunded during your visit.
Reservations may be rescheduled or canceled up to 48 hours in advance. No-shows, late cancellations, or partial cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit for the affected guest(s).

We recognize that unexpected situations arise—if you have special circumstances or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.

A Taste

$45-$65 per guest, 1-1.5 hr duration, community tasting

Reserve a seat at our tasting bar, a communal setting where the focus is exclusively on the wine. Your tasting will begin promptly as your wine educator walks you and other like-minded wine lovers through a selection of our current releases. Enjoy the stories behind the wines, delve into the delicious details, and ask questions as you sip.

A traditional winery visit, this is perfect for those interested in learning more about wine, and for wine enthusiasts who prefer their tasting experience to center on the glass.

A Table

$45-$65 per guest, 2 hr duration, up to 6 guests

For a more leisurely experience, choose a seated tasting at your own table inside. Parties of up to six guests will enjoy a guided tasting experience with a designated associate. You may also select food accompaniments from our menu. 

Expert presentation will supply insight into each vintage at a relaxed pace that leaves plenty of time for conversation in between. This is an excellent way to enjoy the scenery, sipping, and storytelling.

Porch with a View – South Porch

$45-$65 per guest, 2 hr duration, up to 6 guests

For a cozy and intimate outdoor experience, unwind on the South Porch, our charming screened-in space featuring comfortable couches and tables. With its relaxed ambiance and panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the South Porch is the ideal spot to savor a tasting of wines.

Porch with a View – East Porch

For those who love an open-air setting, the East Porch provides a delightful experience with its tables and charming swings, all offering stunning views of the surrounding vineyard and mountains. This breezy space invites you to enjoy a guided tasting of wines, guided by expert insights into each vintage. Enhance your visit by selecting food pairings from our thoughtfully curated menu.

Whether you’re here for a casual outing with friends or a romantic moment with someone special, the East Porch is perfect for soaking in the natural beauty and enjoying the relaxed pace of life at the vineyard.

Elevated Tasting

2.5 hours | Private Rooms | Parties of 4–10 guests

It’s all yours. Our private tasting rooms provide an intimate, elevated experience designed to make your visit truly unforgettable.

Your tasting includes a brief tour of the tasting room property, offering a deeper understanding of the vineyard and terroir that shape our wines. Once seated, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of Crimson Lane’s most prized, limited-production vintages, thoughtfully paired with petite food accompaniments.

Choose between two curated experiences:

  • All White Wine Elevated Tasting – $90 per guest
    A focused exploration of our estate-grown white wines, showcasing nuance, elegance, and expressive character.
  • White & Red Elevated Tasting – $110 per guest
    A comprehensive journey through both white and red wines, offering a full expression of Crimson Lane’s winemaking and vineyard site.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, delving deeper into our wines, or simply indulging in a luxurious afternoon, the Elevated Tasting is designed to leave a lasting impression.

A Private Room Your Way

Minimum Spend of $90 per guest, 2.5 hr duration, for parties of 4 to 10 guests

The description could read as, “For those seeking a more personalized experience with a larger party, our private tasting rooms are available with a minimum spend requirement. This flexible option allows you to curate your visit—whether enjoying wines by the glass or bottle, sharing cheese and charcuterie boards, or simply lingering in good company.

Ideal for special celebrations or relaxed gatherings, your private room offers an intimate space to savor Crimson Lane wines and incredible mountain views.

Crimson Your Way

2 hrs, up to 6 guests, $60 per person + 20% gratuity

Are you looking for a way to explore our full menu without first enjoying our traditional tasting lineup? Have you visited several times and know which wines you already love? Reserve this experience for a “choose your own adventure” visit.

When booking, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from table seating inside our tasting room or outside on our porches. Once seated, you have the ability to choose from our by-the-glass menu or order a few bottles to share amongst your group. Our full food menu is also at your disposal to pick shareable and parable accompaniments to your wine selections.

The choices are yours to make! No formal tasting needed.

We politely ask that each guest commits to a minimum spend of $60 on food and or drink, plus a 20% service fee.

Come For THe Wine, Stay For the place

Each of our experiences takes place in our stunning mountainside tasting room. The first on the East Coast designed by Napa-famed architects Backen & Backen, both interior and exterior will blow you away. Executed by local firm Moore Architects, the building is inspired by traditional agricultural forms and invokes the rich farming history of Fauquier County. 

Nestled into the land’s contours amidst rolling vineyards, you’ll find picturesque views at every turn. Immerse yourself in the natural surroundings as you pull up a seat at the tasting bar, sink into our cozy sofas, gather around a table, or settle into your own private space for an afternoon of sipping, savoring, and slowing down.

What To Expect

Sustainable Comfort

At Crimson Lane, the environment is an intrinsic part of the experience. 

When you arrive, plug in your electric or hybrid vehicle to recharge from our solar array while you do the same, glass in hand. Then enter a tasting room conceived with passive solar principles in mind. Porches and pergolas shade south-facing windows for summertime cooling effects, while well-chosen floor materials hold warmth in winter. 

We find a responsibly designed space that rejuvenates the soul is priceless. We hope you do as well.

A Community-Minded Attitude

Help us preserve the Crimson Lane experience by following a few guidelines.

There’s a time and a place for everything.
At Crimson Lane, it’s Thursday – Friday, 12 pm until 5 pm / Saturday – Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm ( we are closed Monday – Wednesday).

A little notice.
We’re a working vineyard and winery with limited staff and a lot to get done. Give us a chance to host you in style. We appreciate your reservation.

Wine is an adult beverage.
We welcome guests ages 21 and over. (And no, you don’t have to tell us how far over you are!)

Carefully considered.
Wine selections and food accompaniments are our specialties. There’s no need for outside food or beverage, we promise! Please contact us for our menus.

No More Than 6 Guests, Please.
We cannot accommodate any parties larger than 6 guests at any one time. This includes pulling tables together—we will not accept multiple reservations for the same party. If you have a larger group, please contact us to make a customized reservation. We are able to accomodate up to 10 guests with the rental of a private room.

Carry less with you.
We do not accept cash, only credit cards, so don’t feel the need to pack your wallet with bills to bring home any of our delicious wines.

No-shows, late cancellations, or partial cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the per-person booking fee. The fee for bookings goes as follows:
$10 per person for Taste, Table, Porch with a View, or Crimson Lane Your Way experiences.
$20 per person for private room bookings and Elevated Tastings.

Payment & Reservation Changes:
We accept all major credit cards for deposits.
To modify your reservation, please visit Tock or reach out to our team via email or phone as soon as possible.

No-Show Policy:
If you or a member of your party does not arrive for your reservation and fails to cancel in advance, your deposit may be forfeited.

A Final Note

We strive to be good neighbors. We positioned our tasting room out of others’ view to preserve their scenic vistas. Few homes share Crimson Lane with us, so vehicular traffic impacts are minimal. Our events are small-scale and tasteful (literally), focused on wine and landscape rather than loud music.
